Financial Planning Internship Program co-organized with AIA

At the start of August, a group of university students mainly from mainland China participated in an internship programme, hosted by the AIA insurance company and us. The programme lasted for 5 days and during that time, various activities were conducted, such as sharing by Billy Chan on the topic ‘external asset management’, presentations on new concepts and knowledge and visits. The group of students was also divided into teams and were judged according to their performance throughout the whole programme, especially during the final presentation, which is on a financial plan that they came up with for one of their team members, to compete for the final prize, reference letters from the AIA.

Apart from the professional knowledge, sharing on personal developments was given by Gary Chan and Miss Annie to allow participants to get to know more about themselves, both their strengths and weaknesses. Hoping that it would help reinforcing their strengths, developing their weaknesses and acting as a reference to their career path in their later lives.

After the programme the interns were exposed to a variety of financial and insurance products and gained more understanding on how the financial industry in Hong Kong functions.

Moreover, the interns got the chance to talk to people that are currently working in the industry and have a firsthand insight of it. Overall, the internship programme was a success.
